The performance series is divided into 3 sections, utilizing the worldwide approaches to martial arts training, while focusing on skills and actions. The Classic framework utilizes methods that schools/dojos frequently use, for example a belt ranking system, structured routines, sequences of drills, structured group applications, and sequences of group exercises.
Keeping within the scope of performance, the Trials framework defines skills and abilities that can be graded in an individual or group context. This may involve frequent practice of a technique to muscle memory, or applying motor learning toward the completion of a physical feat.
The Sports framework utilizies the methods that many schools/dojos use when applying martial arts as a competitive sport. May include the practice of routines designed for competitions.
